08 Nov MAR Standard Forms Update

Updates have recently been made to two of MAR’s Standard Forms based on member feedback given to the Standard Forms Advisory Committee. MAR General Counsel Ron Farris has provided the following information about the changes as follows: F-1 – Contract for the Sale and Purchase of Real Estate: The Contract for the Sale and Purchase of Real Estate (F-1) form has been revised to amend the “Brokers and Salespersons” section (Section 8, LL. 165-176) to change references to Selling Brokerage and Listing Brokerage (previously Selling Agency and Listing Agency), and to add lines for insertion of the Selling and Listing Brokerages’ emails and business addresses. Lines were also added to afford users more room to insert email addresses in the Seller(s) and Buyer(s) contact information lines in Section 9. Finally, the “Property Issues Addendum” has been eliminated from the check-off list of attachments in Section 13. F-2 – Contract for the Sale and Purchase of Real Estate – Lots and Land: The Contract for the Sale and Purchase of Real Estate – Lots and Land (F2) form has been extensively revised and renumbered internally to conform the F2 form to the substantive changes made to the F1 in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
